The Dalai Lama and Avalokiteshvara

To start the New Year, join us for the wonderful practice of meditating on the His Holiness the Dalai Lama being one with Compassion Buddha Avalokiteshvara. This practice includes visualizations that inspire the development of compassion and wisdom as well as repeating the profound name mantra of His Holiness the Dalai Lama, and the most popular mantra in Tibet, the mantra of compassion OM MANI PADME HUM, .

“The Inseparability of the Spiritual Master and Avalokiteshvara: A Source of All Powerful Attainments” was written by the current Dalai Lama when he was nineteen years old, after repeated requests from a cabinet minister. Many feel the Dalai Lama is an emanation of Avalokiteshvara (Chenrezig in Tibetan), the personification of the compassion of all Buddhas.  Because of this close connection, practicing this meditation can make both compassion, and the wisdom of the Dalai Lama palpably accessible.

This is the practice Lama Yeshe gives commentary to in Becoming the Compassion Buddha.

Register here to join with Zoom (this is a very simple and quick registration process by email), or catch them live-streamed on Facebook.
