His Holiness the Dalai Lama ~ Chakrasamvara Initiation in the Krishnacharya Tradition

This will be on the evenings of Tuesday, March 7 and Wednesday, March 8, 9:30 pm – 11:00 pm EST (note that His Holiness sometimes starts his teachings early)

We are listing this Initiation in our calendar as it provides a wonderful opportunity for people to take a highest yoga tantra empowerment online from His Holiness the Dalai Lama. Geshe Sonam greatly encourages those who aspire to practice tantra to attend this empowerment.

Taking this empowerment will qualify those who wish to attend Geshe Sonam’s Highest Yoga Tantra Commentary, but have as yet not had a prior appropriate empowerment, to do so. Geshe Sonam next commentary session will be on Saturday, April 15.

Those who already have this level of empowerment will be able to renew their vows.

• Please note with this empowerment, one will take Refuge, Bodhisattva, and Tantric Vows.
• There is a commitment that consists of keeping a daily practice of the deity, as well as the Six Session Guru Yoga
• This should all be done on the foundation of some understanding of the three principal aspects of the path

Teaching in Dharamsala, HP, India with His Holiness the Dalai Lama

His Holiness will confer the Chakrasamvara Initiation in the Krishnacharya Tradition (dechok nakpo pa wang) at the request of Gandan Tegchenling Monastery, Ulaanbaatar, Mongolia as well as several Tibetan lamas at the Main Tibetan Temple. On March 8 His Holiness will confer the preliminary initiation and on March 9 will confer the actual initiation. Please note that people attending the initiation are required to do the daily practice of the Six-Session Guru Yoga which is compulsory for Highest Yoga Tantra empowerments. They also need to do the daily practice of the Chakrasamvara Sadhana (dechok dakye) or at least the Triple Purification Practice (dakpa sum kyi nyeljor) of Chakrasamvara.
