Assemble and familiarize yourself with the tools you need to develop a successful daily practice. Success results from understanding the mind, to include several fundamentals needed for meditation to ease our problems and become a source of happiness, ultimately for generating spiritual realizations. Be inspired by examples for making every action you do meaningful.

This is the 7th course in a 14 part series introducing meditation and Buddhist philosophy, called “Discovering Buddhism” offered by the Foundation for the Preservation of the Mahayana Tradition (https://fpmt.org). The two hour online discussion group will be from August 11th to September 22, with a break on September 1st.

You are welcome to join in at any time and do not need any previous experience to participate in and benefit from this course. As the Dalai Lama says: “Don’t try to use what you learn from Buddhism to be a better Buddhist; use it to be a better whatever-you-already-are.”
