Zoom Online Event. Register a few minutes in advance and receive the invitation by email.
Lama Tsongkhapa is an inspiring meditator and teacher, and founder of a popular lineage of Tibetan Buddhism, the Gelug lineage, of which the FPMT and our centre is a part.
Lama Tsongkhapa Day (Tib. Ganden Ngamchoe) or Lama Tsongkhapa Day, is a celebration of the anniversary of Lama Tsongkhapa’s parinirvana (death anniversary, 15th century).
We will gather online with Zoom to practice the Hundred Deities of Tushita (Tib. Ganden Lhagyama), a practice of drawing closer to Lama Tsongkhapa’s inspiration. Due to this being a special day we will also practice extensive offering visualizations, and read the set of verses he composed the morning he completed his perfect realization of wisdom: Dependent Arising: A Praise of the Buddha.
You may learn more about Lama Tsongkhapa here: Lama Tsongkhapa | Lama Yeshe Wisdom Archive, and more about special practices of Lama Tsongkhapa day here: Practices for Ganden Ngamchoe, Lama Tsongkhapa Day – FPMT
As our centre’s name is Lama, as in Lama Yeshe Ling, therefore we have a focus on Lama Tsongkhapa practice. We have practices in December, with Geshe Sonam giving the oral transmission of this practice, and by doing three days of practice running up to New Years Eve.
You can download the practice here.
By donation (everything we do comes from generosity).
