Discovering the Nature of your own Mind

Tuesdays 7:00 pm at 501 Templemead Drive Hamilton ON

This ongoing series provides a basic introduction and overview of Buddhist philosophy and principles, particularly as they are practiced in the Tibetan tradition. The topics we explore include: 
  • Introduction to meditation
  • Survey of Buddha’s teachings
  • How these apply to everyday problems
Everyone is welcome, no prior knowledge or experience is needed.  If you’re new to meditation, this is a great place to start, bring along a friend. We also do not assume that anyone in the class wants to become a Buddhist. As the Dalai Lama says “Don’t try to use what you learn from Buddhism to be a Buddhist; use it to be a better whatever-you-already-are.”
 
The series runs Tuesdays 7:00 to 9:00 pm, starting February 16 through to June 28. You’ll gain the most from attending every sessions, but it’s okay if you don’t. You can join in at any point and still gain something from being here.
