Our Special Guest will be Daniel Star whose talk is titled "What Lama Yeshe Taught Me"

"Lama Yeshe" and his primary student, Lama Zopa Rinpoche started teaching classes to Westerners at the newly acquired Kopan Monastery in 1971. By the 5th course in the Fall of 1973, there were 200 students learning the Lam Rim in a large tent near the top of the Kopan hill. Daniel Star was there, being introduced to Buddhism, and experiencing the clash of a western mind with eastern thought.

In these early days, access to the Lamas was easy and relaxed. Daniel had the opportunity to be with them in Nepal and North America.

In this conversation, Daniel will describe his experiences, the challenges, the bliss, the humour, and how the teachings changed his life and how they were applied. The first part will be on “how he got here from there” followed by the main points of his Emotional Intelligence workshop on happiness."

We hope you are able to join us! A calendar of our events for 2015 will be available that will include meditation, Visiting Buddhist Teacher events, 16 Guidelines workshops, Buddhist programs, 5 Tibetan Yogas, Transformative Mindfulness Methods, a retreat and much more.
