This is the first opportunity for our community to take precepts. Precepts are 8 vows for one day only. This is traditionally done on new and full moon days and was a practice given to lay practitioners so that they could generate tremendous positive action. They also include observing a partial fast, eating one meal only at lunchtime and drinking only before and after. It is best the first time these vows are taken that this happens with a great teacher such as Geshe Soepa. After that, they can be taken at home twice each month. Start: 7:00 pm
