All Night Tara Practice

Event Date:
January 26, 2019 - 5:15pm - January 27, 2019 - 7:45am

Tara Dusk Till Dawn

Come for as many sessions as you would like, or stay till dawn!

Time: 5:20 pm- 7:40 amThis is special all-night practice similar to the regular Tara puja, but with additional practices. This joyful and invigorating practice helps avert negativity and suffering, and promotes inner peace, and family, community, and world peace - with surprising effectiveness. Tara, the mother of all the Buddhas, is a manifestation of compassionate enlightened activity of all Buddhas. She is particularly helpful in emergencies and difficult situations. We offer this all-night practice for the benefit of our local community, those who are sick, the environment, for success in all our projects, and for universal peace.

Come for the whole night or just one session. The night is divided into 4 sessions, each with meditation, chanting Tara praises and mantra, the 108 names of Tara, with optional prostrations and circumambulating the altar complete with holy objects. This Tara practice is a very joyful event with many blessings.

All are welcome. This practice does not require that you have recieved an initiation.

Vegetarian dinner and snacks will be provided after the first session. Please your own meal if you have a special diet.

You are also welcome to bring an image of any of the Tara's you may have.
